Jeff Dickson

Workers' Compensation & Personal Injury Attorney

Jeff takes pride in helping injured Vermonters with their workers’ compensation and personal injury claims, thereby ensuring that the power imbalance between insurance companies and claimants is more equal. In recognition of that good work, Jeff has repeatedly been named one of New England Super Lawyers Magazine‘s “Rising Stars” in the field of workers’ compensation.

A Vermonter Helping Vermonters

Jeff was born and raised in Vermont and graduated from Burlington High School with high honors. After attending college in Maine and law school in Montana, Jeff clerked for the Montana Supreme Court before joining a small law firm in Missoula, Montana. There, Jeff represented individuals, small businesses, and landowners on a wide variety of legal issues (and took full advantage of the many outdoor opportunities Montana has to offer). Jeff moved home to Burlington in 2011 and began working at one of the top workers’ compensation defense firms in Vermont. He soon realized that representing insurance companies was not a good fit, however, and opened Dickson Law Office, PLLC, in January 2014.

What Sets Jeff Apart

What sets Jeff apart from other lawyers is the personal attention he provides to each client. As his Testimonials show, Jeff is easy to get in touch with and responds quickly to clients’ inquiries. Clients are often surprised that Jeff answers the phone himself, and responds to many emails within minutes. Most other attorneys don’t provide that service to their clients, but it’s extremely important to Jeff that he does.

Experience

Jeff’s legal experience includes informal conferences and formal hearings before the Vermont Department of Labor, multiple trials in Montana and Vermont, and oral argument at the Vermont Supreme Court, where he prevailed on a significant workers’ compensation issue.

Community

Jeff is also active in his community by mentoring a teenager through Spectrum Youth & Family Services, and serving as Chair of the Vermont Mountain Bike Association’s Board of Directors. When Jeff’s not working, you can probably find him out for a bike ride with his dog, Lolo.
