Jeff’s approachable demeanor, direct and facilitative communication style, and ability to discuss complex subjects in clear and accessible terms serve all parties well as a mediator. Jeff has completed Harvard Law School’s week-long Mediation Intensive, learning and practicing many of the skills that make for a successful mediation. Perhaps just as importantly, Jeff has spent more than a dozen years participating in mediations as a litigator, where he has observed excellent Vermont mediators surmount challenging obstacles to facilitate effective resolutions.
Jeff offers mediation services for most civil litigation issues. His legal background began as a neutral, including a three-month clerkship with a Federal Magistrate and a year-long clerkship with the Montana Supreme Court. Jeff then represented individuals, businesses, banks, and insurance companies at firms in Missoula, Montana, and Burlington, Vermont, before opening his own firm in 2014.
